What colour the deck ???? Do i use the tamiya XF-55 or Revel EMAIL COLOUR Matt 16 or something completely different ?????????

Depends what kind of deck you are doing.

As I recall, the Revel kit moulded the deck in brown, with planking lines on it. This does not match the full-size ship, which had steel panel decking, with walkways done in a non-slip coating. To make life more complicated, there were occasional strips of planking – at the bow, and a thin strip towards the stern. I think the bridge was also wood-decked….

On mine I have sanded out the deck planking lines and grooved in some panel lines, then painted Navy Grey. The wood stripping is then added as an extra. But there are a lot of colour data available on the net; see:
