Om. yes, and the propshafts are much too steep as well.. I have a feeling the rudder was located there as the props were so far back. Would require sorting out, new shafts at the least, probably an extra rudder…..

So saying, it would probably work well enough, just not to best efficiency.

The rudder is facing the wrong way, if you look carefully at the image you will see the rudder post at the stern end on the rudder.

The props do look close to the rudder but the photo angle is steep so there might be a small clearance, however Ashley is correct in saying that the shafts are far to steep.

The superstructure looks well built so the model might be worth buying even if the shafts have to be repositioned.

                Hi William

I have had a quick eyeball of this model on Ebay and it looks a good model – price is a bit steep I think – but, everything is expensive these days.

To me the rudder has been 'flipped' round and that makes it look a bit close and in the wrong place and with regard to the prop shaft angles, they seem pretty close to the original on the real 'I am' boats. I think on the life sized ones I think they are around 13 degrees which look about right on this model.

The original boat also had 3 shafts and this one looks as though she is only twin, and I do think it wouldn't be too difficult if you wanted to add an extra shaft and reposition new rudders – 3 off. It does look a very well made model though.

                Just my thoughts:

                Aye

I emailed the seller, and he explained that initially he,d bought the model in kit form…but when it arrived..he found that it had been started,…and the deck at the stern had been glued down..and he had to make the best bof what was a bad joke…he went on to say that he enlarged the single rudder,so that the boat can be steered,..he sent me some more piocs…but..i can,t get them into my album..as i can,t see the add pics sign..
