Reading this months issue, I saw an article about the build of a vintage Humbrol tug kit called the Sea Witch. I was struck by the very close resemblance to the tug kit offered by SHG called King Midas in their catalogue.. If it is about 18" long, it could be almost be the same one.

Well spotted, Doc. The model was indeed designed and produced originally by SHG for Humbrol. I was talking to Jerome Grainger only yesterday about it, and we reckon it was in the late 70's. I did the original assembly drawings by tracing enlarged B&W photos of the assembly sequence. It's a damned sight easier with CAD.

I do hope he didn't pay too much over the list price for what is actually a currently available kit.

Yes, it is the same one. We have had a note in about it and will probably give it a mention in the next issue.
