Hi Bob Yes I agree , sad indeed if the publication ceased entirely but the announcement indicates a more ambivalent tone as if the publishes are seeking an alternative option to its present yearly hard back publication . I guess it's wait a see.

I really feel that is the end of it! They are now under new management and they have declared "there will be some changes! "

For some time, I have felt that this sort of thing is dying out and everything is moving on to the virtual world of computers, tablets etc.

I fully expected this to happen when John Bowen retired – hard act to follow after 40 years as editor!

Model Shipwright is not alone. Virtually all periodical publications are experiencing a loss of circulation for various reasons, including lack of disposable income. I would imagine that the circulation of MS in its present form must be pretty low and I wonder if it covers its production costs in such a small niche market.
