Hi Simon
To be perfectly honest, unless you have the time and paitence to sell them on ebay it really is not worth the hassel, I sell regulary to try and clear down my surplus ones I have had to buy to try and complete the entire collection. The last lot I purchased last year was 400 mags for £35. pounds. On ebay my mags are all currently priced at £ 4. each and I am lucky to sell 1 every 2 weeks when the free Auctions are offered so saving 10p, by the time all the fees are taken out and not taking into account the time taken to photograph and list them, I make less than £1 each..
I sold a lot initially at a very low price just to clear down the volume as the boss was not best pleased with me buying 400 I think I made 20p a mag !! but it was worth it not to get that look each time she tripped over the boxs, you know the look which says "these may not be here when you get back from work " look..
Now and again you do get a little bidding war but these are generally the 50's mags. But even these do not go for much unless your lucky as so many MB mags seem to be turning up, I can only assume its because people did keep them as a popular Magazine.
Last month somebody put in the free adds 75 mags , I did contact them but got the impression they had just binned them..(Not saying you should do that)
I regulary give surplus ones to our club to use at displays to get a bit extra for the RNLI. and given ones by club members , if they sell I give the profit to the club.
Saying all that I am sure I am still after some from 1the 60's but do not have my list with me so would need to check, and maybe we could come to an arrangement.
