That`s extremely presumptuous of you, Mr T!

It could be any one of the J class yachts………Billings connection……Extremely doubtful!

Only pulling your leg, my M8…….lol

What size is the model and is there any more of it, nov gsi?

definately the Billing Bluenose……….remember with great affection building her from the crabbiest timbers you could ever have the misfortune to find in a model kit……..but with great patience built it…….yes, no mistake, the Bluenose………..billing got the shape of the hull "not quite true" and I had the same shaped hull as the one in the photos.

                          Hello James

I am sorry to say that in its current condition your Bluenose isn't worth anything as the cost of restoring it will equal its potential value when completed.

Your other boat is a fairly simple restoration as the hull and superstructure are in good condition and requires only moderate repairs / decoration.

To research your model try looking at harbour and costal defence boats.

                            A quick google revealed this.

                            ml.jpg

Not exactly the same but a good starting point.

Your other model is a Fairmile D class motor torpedo gun boat

                              see here for images. **LINK**

and as Paul says, the value of the Bluenose is very little, but what ever you could get for it.

even a very well made model would fetch no more than a couple of hundred on ebay in exceptional condition.

                                  Hello James

I would agree with Neil and say that your model is definitely not a Fairmile B my opinion is based upon the position of your models forward gun

                                  fairmile_d_motor_torpedo_boat-14828.jpg

These are the general arrangement drawings for a typical Fairmile D one obvious difference with your model is that the machine gun positions are missing from either side of the forward superstructure.

It looks like a well built home made and originally I believe it was a MTB or MGB similar to a Fairmile but someone else has tried to convert it into a fire boat.

                                              Paul.

                                              ps look what I bought..

A little bit of work to do but it will be fun.
