      Hello,
I've posted this question in other forums, unfortunately with no positive response:

      About 1980-81, I subscribed on a British boat magazine (…forgot its name…).
In one issue, I recall a full page ad…or was it an article..?…where a limited edition, miniature SeaGull motor was offered, as a (IIRC) celebration of a jubilee of some kind… (?)
This "shrunk" SeaGull was of merely an "arm's length" or so, suitable for a canoe, or a very small dinghy…

      Now guys……was it a dream…?…or an april joke…?…or was it for real…?
(Google hasn't provided anything useful on this…)

      Anyone…

          Hello Bosse

There was such a SeaGull outboard as I had one for my Enterprise sailing dinghy.

I used the Enterprise as a fun boat with outboard on the Bridgewater canal when I wasn't sailing it at Tatton Park.

The outboard would fit very nicely on a bike crossbar for easy transport.

Wow….thanks Paul !! face 1 This is the first "breakthrough" ever. So it did exist after all… Now I wonder if this version had a designation No or likwise…?…it would simplify searching on the Internet…

                Hi Bosse

It looks like it, here is another photo of one with its big brothers.

I have a photo of my old one somewhere but I can't find it at the moment, the actual outboard is somewhere in the Amazon as I donated it to a relief effort.

It was a very reliable and easy to repair motor.

                Paul

Reminds me of a story does the Seagull engine..When SWMBO was training to Swim the English Channel (Like you do) she was having a training swim in Ullswater and a chap in a yacht sailed passed and shouted " Its nice to see a Seagull" well forgetting about the engine propelling the boat on slow , Yes I looked up and wondered what the heck he was on about as there were no Seagulls around, Doh a few seconds later the penny dropped..
