have to admit we were slightly disappointed with this show. considering the number of models on display, there was very little,in fact nothing, for the would be modeller to bite the bullet and say'im having a go at that'. by that i mean no retail stalls for kits or accessories etc.

the boats on display were awesome and gave us some really good inspiration for future projects but the rest was a little too book orientated, that and metal models dominated the show..

i have a few pics of some of the boats on show i can sort out if anyone is interested. 2 of my favourites were a huge lifeboat and a steam propelled boat which was extremely good in its build.

there were some amazing tugs too.

the guy that built it was on hand to talk to and very helpful and friendly too explaining how it worked etc.

              Good morning all ,

a few pictures of portishead ship show , and ballest test of ss noggsund on very breezy and choppy pool and the alax g/s got his picture in the local paper , and sailed his fireboat on pool after the show ,

as for the content of show some very nice models , but lacked traders selling goodies , but some very good book stalls , and some very nice minni models being displayed but very pricey,

my grandson was well treated by the local clubs dispaying and was glad to see a younger future modeler…. the capsize yacht had mast sroudes came unhooked the sailor faided to do a check ….but was recued un damaged and water tight…… cheers Larry..
