          Hi Larry,

One of these lovely little tugs was featured in the 2011 Construction Special, is that what inspired you?

          Tony.

                Hi Larry,

Took a look at your sailing photographs. Guardsman looks nice in the water, along with your other craft.

The Bustler Tug looks interesting too, after seeing it in the Construction Special, I have put the wooden version on my 'future building' list. Yours looks like it will be on the water soon and like Mike Race, I will look forward to seeing the finished build and it sailing on the water. The wooden version uses Bread and Butter construction, which I have never done (other than for bow and stern blocks), so it should be fun.

Prioritise – don't let the garden get in the way of modelbuilding!

                Tony.

Assume you mean the Destroyer Larry? yes sailed and fine. Just completed a 1/48th HDML and a Northlight Puffer. Now about to start a Motor Minesweeper at 1/48th and at the same time a Castle Class Corvette at 1/48th which is a fairly big beast at 63 inches. Very daunting

No its on an old Sirmar FG Hull thats now out of production. Some fittings are by Sirmar such as 20mm and DC and cowl vents. Superstructure is scratch built. The plan is the Dave Metcalf scaled down from 1/24th.

Will do some pics at the weekend.

Yes its been on the water. Very tight and tidy in a turn and looks good but the ballasting is delicate at times. A blob of blue tack in the wrong place causes a list.

Re figures, I have at least one 1/24th figure in the spare box that may be useful. RN skipper with arms folded? welcome to it if you want.
