Hi Dave, a really impressive effort partivularly in the time to build and something for your grandchild to cherish. Thought you might like to know a bit of info on this style of Police launch you have built. In their later life the hull was painted a mid green colour and used as a 'commisioners' launch affectionately known by Thames Police as the 'Green Parrot'. One of the launches was sold off in the eighties, I believe due to budget cuts and eventually, I understand becoming owned allegedly by a Mr Richard Branson and painted white! The Duty boats used to patrol regularly on the Thames had black hulls and in two different designs and specs.
