hi i`m looking for a plan for a canal tour boat,the style of the one`s in amsterdam.i`ve tried most places so now i`m stuck…can anyone help please!

Hello Derek

It doesn't look as though anyone has a plan of this particular type of craft, I know that I have never come across any.

As the Dutch tour boats are a very simple design with repetitive sections so have you considered doing the drawing yourself.

This sort of project definately sounds like a DIY job. As long as you have a few basic measurements, pictures must surely be available on the `net.

OR.. do the various tour companies have illustrated brochures? I bet they will have!

thank you guys,i have some photo`s & i know there are more online.i`ve started my own drawing.got the over-head look & a side view (sorry don`t know the right terms)but not sure how to build the frame.

thinking of adapt a frame of something similar…my drawings are on one metre at the moment,making it about 1;24 scale

hi guys,just to keep you updated. i`ve got a frame work sorted for the canal tour boat,i`ve sent for a kort nozzle to take a 40mm propellor..at the moment.i`m not sure what size motor i should use as i`ll need power — but not speed as these boats are not built for speed..i would like to think of a bow-thruster but not sure?–can-anyone tell me how to bend thin ply for the bow area?i`m building from nothing to see how much i can without buying(only buying what i have to!
