I was nosing around you tube tonight and came across two fantastic models made from Lego bricks , the first was the yamaoto which took the guy 6 years to build but is unfortunatly not a true working boatbut the detail is fantastic , the next is a US aircraft carrier , the hornet i think ?? , but this is a working boat and must be a good 12 foot long . You have to see these boats they are trul;y amazing .

You might be thinking of the USS Intrepid Lego model which has appeared at various shows around the country including Brighton Modelworld a couple of years ago where I took some photos that were published in Model Boats.

It was particularly intersting to me as I visited the original USS Intrepid last September, it is preserved as a museum ship and moored in Manhattan. I found it fascinating, my wife less so!

i like the lego warships, i go to buy on ebay a hull and i go to do one
