As i am not to good with a paint brush i have been trying diferent ways to put pennant numbers on to my leander class frigate . I know there are plenty of commercial sites out there but as i am building on a budget i have trried differrnt ways of doing it and at the mo the leader seems to be using a white paint pen , £4.00 from pen and ink in cardiff , and a sheet of black A4 paper i have marked out the numbers in pencil then go over it with paint pen and it looks quite good

Paul knows his stuff. Way to go…. print, seal (varnish…one pass only first time or they smudge), cutout, paste, varnish on top. easy

Have just done some RAF roundels on the revamped BFB3 flying boat, same method.

If you have a word processor programme on your computer you can write and print out most numbers, text or images.

The knack to numbers and text is to select the correct size and style of font, the downside to this is that there are many different fonts to plough through (but with experience this process becomes easier)

Images are easier as you simply download them as jpegs from the interweb and copy them onto the word processor page (you can even resize them)

Just as Ashley says print, stick and seal
