Having purchased the above plans from MyHobbyStore I am in the process of building the model as a Police Launch. Does anybody know when the plans where first published

Hi Tony, I seem to remember seeing that model in the old model maker magazine that came before model boats. That would put it mid 1950s to mid 1960s I think. I also remember seeing one of these running when I was a lad with a diesel engine in it and very nice it was too. It's possible that the plan might still have 'model maker' in the corner instead of model boats, that certainly happened for a time.

Hi Charlie, Thank you for the info. You are correct about the power plant, it suggests the use of a AMCO 3.5cc IC engine. No Model Maker in the corner, but the publisher is Nexus Plans Service.

Boat hull is almost completed requires a final coat of paint and decals adding, then I will need to attend to the superstructure.
