In Conrad .de they are selling 400 size ducted fans for less than a tenner, no motor of course. Either 3 or 5 bladed fans for brushed and brushless motors. I was wondering about putting one on and Airboat, ala Glynn guests. Do away from potentially dangerous propellors, and if placed in front of the rudder would be rather good for steering. Anyone done similar?

Hi James   I used ducted fan in my build of a free plan issued in MB.
On its first runs it was under powered (static pull 500g) but after some tinkering including going brushless I was able to up this to 900g which was enough to makeit plane. These plans did use water rudders not air

          cheers Tom
