its an USA idea , but has any one tried rudders in front of nozzles ?? USA uses them on push tugs , how would they work on a convential tug hull ??
typical 2 rudders in front of the fixed nozzle, 1 behind in the normal location .
i was reading a old model magazine from USA and the talked about this set up on big harbour tug models , and it seems to work .
any ideas ?? regards bill stafford.

Hi , just seen this post, I tried this on a small motor yacht about 20 years ago.  Only small rudders and they all worked in unison.  Waste of time I am afraid!
The steering in reverse which is what I was hoping would be improved  did not change, maybe in a bigger scale it would work?
          regards Roy
