yes deep water, secret is keep them well sealed and watertight , ballast well down and fixed securely.

Its a shame that, as models, modern lifeboats are a bit superstructure heavy.

That is a great shot, and the sort of thing I like to see, Dont get many big waves on our pond for some reason? Have taken a couple of boats to the seaside but its a bit boring, although it does look like they are on the open sea !

Its a bit like my icebreaker saga.. the ice was either too thin or too thick….waves on the sea have to fall within the “interesting” category rather than the “too interesting” or “flat” categories. Typically having driven 50 miles, its never quite right.
