I have just completed a large Marblehead sailboat build and would like to fit a small electric outboard to the transon for “emergencies”, but can’t find one anywhere.

Can anyone help please?

The hobbies one is surprisingly feisty, but has the batteries in the top, and a switch on the side and as such only goes forward, BUT you could easily take the wires out into the boat and switch it from there.

Its also ludicrously cheap.

There is not much alternative, the Graupner ones are that much more expensive and a bit overkill for what you want, or try for a “vintage” one on e-bay…likely to be a dissapointment i`m thinking,,

Spotted some outboard motor units in a “Gliders” catalogue this afternoon at the pond…….No prices though
