that  lovely model brings back wonderful memories.
she was the first motorised model i ever built at the age of 12.
no R/C in those days, i could”t afford a set, never mind lift one, lol.
i don”t think mine ever looked as good as yours either, but so long ago i can”t remember……..but very happy memories of sailing it, just the same.
      arhh, such nostalgia..
mind you, it put me off working in balsa for life, lol

No need really, I think it’s a great model too, the very essence of a tug. He told me he started building it as a boy and has only just got around to finishing it so that must be some sort of record..

This was the first model I ever built too, aged 10. It didnt look anywhere near as good as this, but it proved the start to a life long interest in model boats. Mighty mouse, as i named her, gave me many years of pleasure sailing at open regattas all around the country for close on 20 years, it even got a write up in model boats in 1976.

The years havent been kind to her, & most  has rotted away, Her ghost is now living in a shelf in the shed. I really owe it to her to restore her 1 day.
Great to see a Bustler again, many thanks for the pic
              Cheers glenn
