            Bob,

Must agree Barmouth is normally a superb resort.

Have you watched Julia Bradbury’s  ‘Railway Walks’  where she walks up the estuary towards Barmouth? The views are stunning and for anyone who likes this resort and the areas non too distant history, this programme is well worth watching. When it was filmed the weather wasn’t like that in your photograph.

Then you ask youself the question as to which is the most attractive, the scenery or Julia?

            Tony.

I love this weather as it keeps the shoplifters in their own little world !!!!! Also i’ve just discoverd an indoor water feature ,my cellar has now got 6 inches of water in their and it stinks like ,well it’s really bad !!!!!,But the good news is that my housing association are not going to put my rent up for having an indoor swimming pool. When the maintence engineer went down their today i said to him to look out for the aligator and the look on his face was priceless !!!!!!

Well, what do you know! It’s 7am and the sun is actually out, moreover we have blue skies here in Devon! Is the monsoon actually over?

                        Hello Rick and others

We visited Barmouth again yesterday and it was bright, warm and sunny!…….But the wind!…..The wind was dreadful……It was impossible to venture onto the beach with a little dog!

Today is our club regatta, so I`m taking the Britannia yacht………..Should be ok?

                        Fingers crossed…………….Bob

Nice photo Bob. It looks a nice venue. What is the wind like for sailing yachts?

                                Hello David…….Thank you

The sailing area is surrounded by forests, so the wind direction is pretty chaotic and cyclonic at times!

                                Regards……Bob

                                  Hi Bob.
We have a pond in a similar situation (surrounded by trees) at Queen Elizabeth Park. We sail on it when it is too windy at Henley lake. I am a novice sailer so find the fickle winds quite a challenge.
                                  David.
