Jeanie Deans in trouble at Bury marina!

Handed over control of the ship to my No1……Capt P Teal, who was totally inexperienced in the handling of big ships in stormy weather and was blown violently by an offshore wind into the harbour wall!

Needless to say, Capt Teal is on a charge!

Only joking, Duckie!

It transpired that the starboard engine had slipped a grubscrew!……lol

I blame the chief engineer Bob,he hadn’t checked the connections on the conrods before sailing out in those rough conditions , and the starboard paddles were what was needed to be her up into the wind,still she didn’t end up like the ship on the beach at Blackpool ,must have been due to good building.

Did you mention grub Ashley ,they do a wonderful bacon Buttie at Bury Metro Marine Club !

Yes it was an adventurous day Paul, I’ve ever seen Bob run before ,will have to call him Bob Chatterway in more ways than one. I won’t mention the trip there and back with his Sat Nav ,needless to say you are not supposed to argue with the woman Bob!.

AND before the grub screw came loose .

In real life I suppose the navy have problems as well ,good job the Bury model aero club didn’t have any fighters up whilst we were incapacitated Bob

Still an excellent day out again.
