      I have built a 1/24th scale Tugboat from the year 1924. I need anchor chain for the finishing touches.

      I am informed by companies who sell this product that it is measured by the link in mm. Could anyone who might know this give me an idea of what to purchase?

      Looking at photo's in a online site does not work.

          Different tugs would have had different size chains, dependent on the size of the original. As a guide, if one original link was 30 x 20 mm divide that by 24 and you have your answer.

          In practice, what most of us do is look at the jewellery in a cheapo shop, and buy what looks correct for the chain.

          Or, making your own from a piece of dowel and some soft brass wire is a doddle.

                CALDERCRAFT JOTIKA do a studded link anchor chain in various LPI sizes, and sell in the 1/2 or 1 metre lengths.
