Okay so this might be a silly question. When mounting a servo, should it in line with the boats centre line or can it be mounted perpendicular to the centre line. I am one fitting the servo to my LCT in the rear section.

Unless the servo is huge in comparison with the model and would induce a list to one side then it doesn't matter a jot. The important thing is to get the pushrod at 90° to the output arm at neutral, to ensure equal rudder movement each way. If it really was a silly question then I would have ignored it, Andy!

Our resident guru has hit the nail on the head so the only thing that I would ask is given that you are fitting the servo into your LCT have you got a problem with limited space?

Andy. Servo on mine sits on the front right hand corner of the rear section. the rudder tiller arm is at an angle (servo matching) so it can have full movement, as the rudder post is very close to the stern.

ESC is under the tank deck next to the motor, but there is room anywhere under the deck, loads of room.. You could put the servo central…depends how close the tiller is to the stern wall.

Thanks guys. Loads of room Paul, just wondering about the servo movement in relation to the TX stick.
