      Hi Please can you help,

I'm trying to rescue the above boat which has the props missing,

Im replace the shafts with M3 Threaded ( instead of original grub screw)

But im not sure on best prop size and supplier

I plan to use 600 size brushed motors, I have max clearance 38mm

Plastic props I know would give good performance but I cant see to find any with M3

      Thanks

      Dave

Hi Dave and welcome to the forum.
3mm shafting is not a common size and you will probably have to buy from a specialist supplier…PROPSHOP or someone.

Loads of people must have a GP PT109 and no doubt will post to short order to advise on prop size but generally a motor this size would take a 35-40mm (ish) prop. However, this really does depend on the type of 600 and the voltage you are running at.

It is a pet hate of mine that M3 props are not available under this new-fangled metric system – they would be the nearest to the 1/8" shafts which were ideal for most model sizes….

I make up M3 shafts, and then buy RadioActive M2 props – see here: **LINK**

These have a central brass bush which can easily be prised out and then drilled/tapped to M3. And they are only a couple of quid each.

Alternatively, make up a 3mm dog drive fitting and use one of the cheap chinese dog drive props…

              Hi Guys,

Thanks for welcome and quick reply,

I'll be using 7.2 V and graupner speed 600 or equivalent, boat is 30" 1/30 scale I think.

Im looking at Raboesch as well 146-10A, 146-11, but I have no experience with Brass 3 Blade props

              Dave
