      Hello all, my father in law bougth me an excellant little project over christmas but i need help with some things,
       
      Ive been given the elco 80 torpedo pt 596 model from italeri (1:35 scale) but have absolutely no idea what i need with regards to r/c conversion, building and painting etc is no problem but creating a shopping list of parts is proving tricky
       
      im wanting to keep 3 props and 3 rudders to keep it looking original!
       
      other than that im unsure, i have checked websites etc and you can see some lovely versions of this model but none of them say what r/c you need
       
      any help would be grately appreciated!!

          I suggest you give SHG a call. I belive they do a complete conversion set i.e. props, shafts, rudders etc.

            You might also search the back issues of Model Boats – there was a build rc conversion review winter 2007 special:
             
             
            still available for £2 – maybe a good investment!
