Hi

After some advice…whats the best glue to use for sticking the timber deck strips to the plastic hull on the billings kit

my daughter is building tat little boat……we used 2 part epoxy, but scuffed up the plastic sub deck with rough sand paper before gluing.

I think Neil has the “key” to the situation (pun intended). I find it necessary to always roughen the plastic or styrene to give the glue something to hang on to. Plastic is usually very smooth and, without a key the glue can lose adhesion, and lift.

please excuse my blinding mistake on my first post…..

.I ment to say “That” little boat, not “tat”………it’s far from tat, and is a very nice little starter kit……..
