      Hullo to all,
                        I am about to build a “Smit Nerderland” by Billings and would like to replace the standard propshafts with a slimline from Mobile Marine Models.
      The kit lists them as 5mm x 170mm.
                        Is this the length of the tube or the overall length of the shaft ?
                        Any advice or info would be appreciated.

          I would imagine it would be shaft length but a phonecall would confirm or deny , Brian is very helpful and will see you right

            it’s usually the tube length Rodney and andy.
            The length of the shaft including threads (or in some cases thread and blank end) are at the manufacturers discression and vary from one to another.

              Thanks Neil and Andy, its just that I would like to get the correct length to order now, so that when my tug arrives I can start building.
               Keen to start this new building project.
