      Hi to all,
       
      I will be starting my new project in august hopefully, 1/96 type 23 frigate HMS SOMERSET F82 (my old ship) never done such a larger scale and radio model before. A friend at work shares my hobby and i cannot wait to get stuck in…past models are really 350/600 scale WW2 ships ie HOOD, RODNEY etc but really want to venture in to radio models . looking forward to getting all your help hints and tips. All help is greatly appreciated

            Kev. Go to some shows (Model Mayhem at Wicksteeds would be a jolly good place to start, this weekend) and see some models, chat to the modellers. Best way to see what its all about. Do you have a kit or semi-kit, or will you be just getting  a hull and scratchbuilding the rest?  Ashley

              My friend built a 1/96th scale Type 23 and I have a 1/72scale model

                Many thanks everyone, i am buying the hull from fleet scale i think and scratchbuilding the super structure masts etc. using some fittings from other suppliers…will look forward to all your help…. thanks
