Paul, When we fired the guns at the Frazer gun battery on our gunnery aquaint course, the gun whizzed roundvery quickly and those of us designated ammunition supply numbers, had to run round the mount with a clip of five rounds and pass them over the rail to the loader who pushed them into thetube going down to the breech, .All the time we were doing that, we had to jump out of the way of the discarded empty shell cases cascading from the eject mechanism. All the time this was going on, there was the fearsome din of the multiple barrels firing the shells, I can hear it now, nightmare! I can’t imagine what it would be like today with the Goalkeeper Vulcan guns and the short range automatic anti aircraft missiles
