So as a new person to boat modelling… what is the "short list" from this group? I am not a sailing ship modeller, my interest is more warship or modern. Also any good  or recommended on-line guides (illustrated are best for me – I am a visual learner)

I have browsed the topics here in the beginners section and nothing quite address this starter question in my mind.

I do have my first set of plans and the bulkheads are not intended to be built on a keel..So  I am a little confused on the set up to commence the build.. so I thought some study would be good while I am warming up my brain juices..

( my plans are the Charles Sells plans done for Traplet The Turbina, #ME3355 ) They should keep me busy..

Thanks Mik- – I have the mother of all independent bookstores in the world near me ( Powells Book City) but I did overlook the ovious ..the library… the inernet almost drives it out of my short term memory

I will also look up Tom’s books!!
