      Hi Can anybody help me please? I am selling my late husband’s stash of modelling gear and I have a bag of model boat buoyance aids – in various sizes and shapes. They are orange in colour and need to be blown up. Supplied by S H G Marine. Please can you let me know how many would be used in a boat? Also what part of the boat each shape would be used in – I have oblong and triangular shapes.

        Janet.   As SHG are still in operation (I assume this is the same company?), I think a call to them may throw light on the application of these items, and they would advise as to what sort of situation they would be used in. They may even have been designed for a particular craft, or style of craft.    Perhaps I should get a few for my Titanic………..   Ashley

          Thanks for your reply Ashley – I will give them a ring. I have already phoned them about several bits and pieces that I am trying to sort out and they are very helpful. Hope your Titanic doesn’t hit an iceberg! Good luck with your boat building. Kind regards Janet.
