The people are actually two sets of Scalex pit crews…….wearing crash helmets……..so I called them TT fans off to the Isle of Man for the motor cycle races!

Hi Bob, as I am a new member and a bit nosey I have been sailing through the forum pages and was surprised to see your model of "Jeannie Deans". I take it to be of the Clyde paddler circa 1930’s aboard which I sailed the world, well down the Clyde, as a nipper with my parents. Ah memories! We used to watch all the steamers racing to get to the pier first thus "getting the punters". The competition was fierce.

Hi Bob,

love the model but I don’t think it ever got to the Isle of Man, although my father served on it during tthe war as a minesweeper, and she was based in the Thames, so anything’s possible!

I realise Jeanie Deans probably didn`t visit the I.O.M………………But Waverley did!…….it used to sail from LLandudno in the 70`s and we once had a nice sail to Anglesey .

A wartime JD would make an interesting model?
