It's a personal preference really. I like to keep my models looking new.

However, if you do decide to weather it then be sure to know just what you are doing as if not done properly it will undo much of your excellent work!

You can find some useful guidance on weathering in our feaure articles here:

As Colin said, it's a personal choice. I've seen some good weathered models and some poor ones. To me it's most effective on work boats, ships that are meant to be smart are best modeled that way.

                    Charles.

I think Charles is correct. Northern European ferries have generally always been maintained to high standards so any weathering should be confined to subtle touches only.

It has to be a personal choice.

I think the boat looks fantastic. I will not say "as it is" or "when weathered a bit" as this would be my personal opinion, and not yours.

I would say do not get any more opinions. Decide on your own, after all it is your model.

                        Ashley

THANKYOU all for your input and thoughts probably going to keep her clean and fresh with tiny amounts of weathering on the wear points anchors pulleys chains etc to give her that slightly used yet maintained look . Thanks again chaps for all your help again
