Hello Nigal,

had a bash at the build to day , setup and fine tuned formers and keel on jig, all boned up nice but one i noticed on photo, will put right at the next visit , first planks fited at keel and at deck level..

you will see the collection of tools used, palm sander / craft knife/ mini plane / sanding sticks/

a bundle of ikea blind cut down on band saw ….clamps / maping pins. a good wood glue.,…..

Nice pics Larry, not sure if the head gardener of pricey towers would let me get away with using the garden pots for storing tools etc. I think she would be have a few words to say.

weather good, so day 3 started planking weny well , ikea blind bends well pictures show one side snded and the other shows contcruction, note stern as no former at this stage, will explain later,

Hello Again,

Weather is ok for further buid day 4 ,,

hul removed from jig a bit of filler and first tell primer, added ,

bulk head extenions saw off , a coat of F/G resin coated inside hull .

stern added new mod to help deck doubler added at deck level thats what the clamps are holding

should fited stringer at former stage not shown on drawing , so if i build anther i will add them.

next stage will be shaft and drive motor . before deck works, and then get back on hull finish .

more primer and sand,……cheers Larry..

Good moning ,

Had another go at KINGFISHER, i was waiting for a new model to turn up ,

whent on back burner , now gone off plan build to to my version.

wheel house and engine room , altered styrene used , a bit of rivet added ,

canmber added to deck beams , and rough coat of black added to be sanded back to show hull

blemishes , also started on winch, photos show new model…. cheers Larry

Like the POF construction…….Noticed a few Ellie features too, I also like to see formers with the former shapes pasted on the plywood, too

You are a certainly are a messy builder, Larry…..Is that why you are working outside?

as you no the new model grandson ….LOGAN….had to come first….

wheel house half timbered and looking good ….

deck planking sawn and ready for camber deck ,

access hatches in planing ……..realy pleased with the nice lines of hull .

will suit many working boats ……….

also can tell me where purchased those little brass tear drops you used on your rigging blocks ,………cheers Larry……..

Hi Larry your flying along by the sounds of it.. those parts I had in my shed for years like most of the parts used I dont chuck anything out they all came from my late father as he was a cabinet maker so not sure if you can still get them anywhere. thanks Nigel

Hello ,

A bit more work on Kingfisher……….deck fitted using Ikea bind , wheel house planked using coffee stirrers, timber stain is ready to sand back will add weathing to deck and fit coaming and bulwarks next after striped garden of summer planting ready for autum planting ,

harvest toms in green house , plus peppers and cue cumbers , ready for seed trays its all go at the moment …plus granddad dutys …. cheers Larrry…

Can I make a suggestion?

Your planked deck doesn't look right!…..lol

The deck needs a perimeter edging to finish off the plank ends

It can easily put right by adding the edging on top of the planks, with some filler on the sides and using it for handrail stanchions. You can even paint the rim, same colour as the stanchions?

Sorry to criticise, Larry……That's what friends are for!

Hello,

Had another go at my version of Kingfisher fishing boat ,

fitted gallows and blocks, wheel house skipper, a bit of dirty weathering,

masts , life raft , thanks to kinder egg, and rear access deck for stowing clutter,

test sail will at the weekend if the weather is good…..
