Ian,

Looking at your album, it would appear your build of Veleta is now complete. The model looks most impressive on the water. Don't these old Smeed designs always make lovely models.

Hi Tony,

Thanks – I'm pretty pleased with Veleta- she isn't a scale model but makes me happy! I was worried about the rather simple stern shape but in the water she looks OK. She tends to yaw and roll in anything of a sea but I imagine full sized motor yachts did too.

As always, I experienced many minor setbacks with Veleta- mainly to do with finish, but I was pleased with the final result. I thoroughly enjoyed building her -and that's what it's all about!
