Hi Lads

I finally pulled the sleeping beast out and restarted working on it !!!

So I rub down the hull and undercoated it.

Next onto the planking of the deck with home made wood veneer planks.

Cutting the outside Jarrah one was fun !!

I found an easy way of doing it after a few cold beers and a sudden light bulb flash !!!

Hi Harry. I usually just fall asleep after a few cold beers.

In any case, it’s hot rum punches in Blighty at the moment.

Please don’t repeat how hot is over there or I shall hate you even more….

is this-your trademark, the light/dark planking?

All the main planking is from one sheet of veneer (Tasmania Black Heart Sassafras).

Cold spell tomorrow only ..C !!!

Hi All

Well that dam boat stand has finally got the chop, chop !!!

After making one for the Smit Nederland, I had to fix the dam thing!!!

So it's a hell a lot better and the boat sits on it nicely!!!

Made the rudder servo mounts ready for the rudder to turn up.

My custom rudder has just arrived.

Hi All

Well, I restarted to Sea Raven from 2016!!!

Which is Limo version of the Swordsman with build in chine and spray rails.

The bow has been rake forward 1/2″ and some frames are 1/2″ more apart so the Lipo batteries sit between the frames.

All painted up with all the windows and forward hatch in place.

Added the forward hand rails and made to dashboard which has to be installed.

At present making seats.

Changed the motor to a 1500kv 35mm which is a down grade from the 1900kv.

I have two different sets of air scoops for the boat, but which ones look the best ???
