A very neat and tidy layout, Dave

Paul should add it to the instruction book

I like the paint finish too

        Got yer!

            Sorry Paul

Didn`t realise there were more drawings after the Seaspray section

I`ll whip myself with nettles as punishment!

Don't worry Bob its probably an easy mistake to make as I didn't subdivide the drawing register very well.

                Hello Paul

                Found the stand now

What about water cooling for the motor?

Don`t suppose Ellie will need it, but Seaspray and Red Leader probably will?

Improvements to the design such as spray rails and cooling coils are all up to the individual builders. The hull is wide and deep enough to accommodate all sorts of modifications and I am looking forward to seeing how inventive people can be.

Meanwhile to increase the awareness of the fund raising I have posted links on Model Boat Mayhem and MBs facebook page, have a look and click like.

No cooling coils will be required with any of the motors to be used in the three prototypes.

                      Thank you, Dave

                      That's nice know.

Now then, Paul……Having lost my PC to an internal problem, would it not be wise to save the build file to disc?

Eighty drawings on the hard drive must gobble up quite a chunk of memory space.

                      Just a passing thought

                        Hi Bob,

I save anything like that to DVD/CD and on a separate hard drive.

                        Cheers

Yes it is advisable to save the download to disk.

This brings me to the sensitive topic of copyright and further copying of the download. My copyright has what is called an angel policy which allows individuals who donate to make models from my design for their own purposes i.e. not for business or selling on.

To protect the design the download has four levels of visible protection and also has an embedded code that digitally links the individual download to the recipients email address.

Two of the visible layers can be seen by the naked eye and if a hacker wished they could remove them but the other visible aspects are so small they are hidden within full stops etc. The embedded code send me a message if the download is passed onto another computer (either by email or disk)

The reason for such onerous levels of protection is to prevent my designs appearing on places like ebay, because I can track the designs I can prove to ebay that copyright has been breached and they have to take action as per their terms and conditions.

None of this will effect 99% of people who download the designs.

My experience with E-Bay and protection of copyright isn't good. Some greedy little **** was selling copies of the Swordsman plans from MB. The procedure to notify this to E-Bay was ludicrously long-winded and at the end of it all they did sweet Fanny Adams. My solution was to offer the plans free in PDF form to anyone who wanted to build it, but that's not quite the point of your design. Let's hope it never comes to that.
Seaspray latest – props and shafts are now installed along with brass tubes for stuffing the shaft tubes. Soldering on the motor leads is next, followed by fitting the motors. It's getting close…………

I know a great deal about illegal copying and the laws regarding copyright, I think that I have covered every aspect to deter the naughty elements in our society.

                                    Dave

One of the benefits of burying an identification code within the download is that if the system identifies illegal copying or digital transfer I have the option to corrupt the data by remote, the result being that the original download and any subsequent digital transfers become useless.

No – just read the setting-up instructions for the speed controller first and make sure you have wired everything up the right way around before you introduce the battery (fully charged, of course). The 555 is a very quiet and smooth motor and shouldn't bite you unless the coupling is as crappy as the ones I find I've bought for Seaspray. Needless to say the universal joint parts are being replaced with silicone tubing. I should have bought flexible couplings to start with. BUILDERS PLEASE NOTE!!

Your note reminds me of one the lecturers at Loughborough Uni in 1960-frozen to death. Ten minutes into one of his lectures on vectors a very East London voice piped up from the back " 'Ere, Gerry – sorry and all that but you lorst me a bit back there". Mr Ward, not wanting to be seen as impatient (or deaf) replied "Where was that exactly?" to which came the answer "Well – start wiv "good morning" will yer?"
I wish I'd understood a word of your note above. You may educate me in private if you would, please.
