Hi Colin, Yes the rudder is done in much the same way. I like to install the prop shaft first, and put a prop on, then I can make sure that the rudder has the correct clearance from the prop, remembering that you may want to remove the prop without removing the rudder first.
Two things stand out in my memory about the Nordkap, firstly that the two projections that go to the hull capping from the aft superstructure are very thin and easy to break,. I epoxied some brass tube to the inside of them to give support.
The second thing was that when I first sailed it in choppy water it bobbed a lot, pitching with the bow and stern going up and down. I moved the battery and ballast away from the centre of the boat so it was in two parts, with the battery as far forward as possible and the lead as far back as I could. This helped a lot and made the boat very manageable.
