As a follow-up to my earlier post and to answer queries from a few prospective builders, the Swordsman kit is now available SLEC Swordsman Kit. I believe that SLEC are also going to offer the boat kits to the model trade, so you may be able to examine one at your local hobby shop – if you have one.

There's also an arty video of my own #2 model, taken by Martin "Mayhem" Davis at this year's Wicksteed bash. As anyone in the restaurant trade might say, "enjoy!".

As usual another fine example of your building skills, this time along with a very arty video some scenes of which hark back to 'Ride the White Horses'

Its just a shame that the model is so small …..isn't it time that you applied your skills to building a proper size model laugh

Have you never heard of the term 'jewel like' Paul?

1:16 is actually a very handy size for this type of model.

"Compact and bijou, my dear" as Mr Mercury might have said.

I have a larger model in development. I could tell you more but then I'd have to kill you…

                          Blimey,

We had one as a wedding present in 77 used to wake us up with a spray of boiling water, those were the days 😀

                          Regards Ray

Yep! We retired ours on the day after I retired from my "main" job in 2006. Now it's whoever gets up first who makes the tea, as long as it's after 7.45am. Ain't life grand?

I retired the two things that seemed to dominate my professional life…….my tie and watch and I haven't worn either since.

Dave, The current odds are 2:1 that the new boat is a fairey. wink

I reserved a black tie but I still wear a watch. The rest must remain a secret…smile d

I recycled nearly 200 ties to local charity shops when I retired, strange what you amass during the working life!

Strange ties have gone over the last 10 years in business, unless you really want the job 😂,

I used to be a site manager they always kept my neck warm, and the guys knew who carried the can when it went pear shaped. 😯

                                    Regards Ray
