I have decided to truncate this topic as there is obviously ill feeling and the subject topic has become unproductive.
Paul T has shared his PM to Stuart with me and it is clear to me that there has been a breakdown of understanding on both sides leading to regrettable acrimonious comments which have no place on this forum.
From a practical point of view, this website is about model boats. Bait boats are not model boats, in their conventional sense they are floating devices which draw upon model boating practice to deposit bait at locations selected by the fisherman/operator who then casts from a hand held rod.
Model boats normally only require the power to move themselve around the pond or lake they are sailing on. Using a bait boat as a remote fishing device to catch quite powerful fish is a whole new ball game. There are no precedents I know of for comparing the thrust of a powered model boat with the force which can be exerted by an even moderately large fish. I suspect the fish would win unless the boat was of very substantial construction and power, rather beyond the criteria we use to construct the average model boat. So in that sense, this is not the right place to ask for advice and nobody is likely to be in a position to give a sensible answer.
