      Hi One & All

Sorry but just seeing all the post on Clyde Puffers has started me again.

Some time in 2020 in Lock Down I bid on a clyde puffer and won, it is an old but new Model by Design hull.

I found a set of plans for the Incholm, which I need to have enlarged by 133% which was done for me by a company in Eastbourn, I did think I had a Buhler motor in my stock but it looks as if I left in the sub that I sold, I am think of a T4a motor from Mobile Marine Models, I will have a word or two with Brian and see what he thinks.

Sorry Richard it will not be steam, I am too long in the tooth for steam.

I hope you see why I called her Loch Down

Fred, I’ll forgive you, sometimes we all feel the need for something simple!

            Hi One & All

Sorry to say that I have had to give up on the idea of building this Puffer, as in the end it was just too large, now that does not mean I am giving up on the idea of another Puffer,  I still have a vac-formed hull like the last one and plans for a Puffer in my stock,

As Arnie said “I will be back” so here to Loch Down 2

I think it’s called downsizing Fred, comes to a lot of us eventually. The displacement of the model exceeds the  lifting capacity of the upper limbs…

Also there is an exchange of identities – you become the puffer and the boat becomes overweight…

                  Hi One & All

Today I went to my local car boot fair, on one of the stalls was a vac-formed hull that I recognised as the   Lochinvar Clyde Puffer, yes they are now sitting on my work bench, so “Loch Down” in now back on in a smaller scale, I will post updates along with photos soon.
