ok rudder made just need to put into boat then i can start to coat the hull and test it in the bath

hi all

did water test in bath and after 2 hours still no water inside so time to fit every thing in then make cabin then back in to bath as it looks like it will need a bit af wight add as it sit a bit high

Hello Dave,

Rudder looks ok did have the battery pack and motor fitted in the bath test ,

and is there water line shown on plan , ?..

dont foget to allow for on board fit out , use strip lead hiden under bunks and cuboards ,.

yes i did have all in when did bath test and no the plans dont have a water line on it so i will have to find out where that will be .

im not doing anything in the cabin on this 1 as its my frist build and it will only be for saling may even use it for the young kids down the pond to play with as it will not go that fast and it will be safe to other boaters

maybe ill build a work barge after the swordsman thats if i dont do the huntsman or maybe ill start both give me something to do when the other is drying.

Hello Ashley ,

The story is he was thinking of jumping ship , a few moments later he did ,

luckly fished out with a tiddler net , he no longer crews a boat ,

sold the narrow boat a day later , ………….have another one comuing soon …….

the carpet carrier is awaiting running gear wich bye at warwick, dont have credit card any more

so it cash for now , … this i have had credit identiy stolen through a ebay scam ….not nice ..

swordsman will keep you going for a bit , rememeber one boat at a time or you end up

with a lot of builds on the back burner ,……i have 4 in to finish and one referb….

winter is coming so less time in the shed to bloody cold , so using in dor work shop for small builds

and refurbs and dolls house build for the wife …..Larry…

You can buy a DVD from Amazon (or equivalent) of the TV programme regarding the refurbishment of Dover. You can then watch it in small chucks to suit available time e.g. whilst the glue is setting.
