Another string to my bow is that of photography and while many digital cameras can come in close it is often better to use a moderate Close-up lens to achieve this. ironically the CU lens keeps the camera away from the subject permiting light to illuminate the subject etc but permits you to use the telephoto end of the zoom to get the tight framing.
It strikes me that in the above shot the eye saw the rudder and concentrated on it forgetting that the camera also seems to have perifial vision
Meanwhile quite recently I have discover4ed what that little box in the bottom right on my screen does .. usually 100% but one can use 400% and see what a fishtail rudder looks like.
I don’t appreciate what a fishtail does over a ‘balanced’ rudder which when turned covers the thrust from the propellor .. also how it is operated to tail to port? It appears to move the sideways thrust a little further back but does that really make much difference? Basically, why a fishtail?
