      Morning guys,

I have a Proboat Miss Geico, she's quick but would like to make her quicker.

She's standard (out of box) Dynamite 1500kv motor-Dynamite 60amp ESC a 2 blade stainless prop. I'm running her on Overlander 2s 5000mh batteries and get 10mins use depending on throtttle.

Having read ESC spec it can take up to 4s but there's no info on motor (brushed motors give you a voltage rating but i've never seen a rating on brushless)

The ESC is wired so that when both 2s's are connected it makes 14.8 v, if a put two 3s's on that will make 22.2v. Is this combination going to end in disaster or make it go like a lunartic ?

      Many Thanks….Steve.

From my limited understanding of brushless motors, you will get about 33000RPM. What current your setup would demand, whether the motor would live through it with what ever load is offered, no idea. But I suspect that the answer to your last question is "both".

Probably "go like a lunatic " is underselling it.

1500kv gives a speed of over 33,000 revs on 22.2vv

Can your drive train which can cope with 4 cell handle six?

Probably very exciting for a lap or two, then BOOM!

I cant imagine that any brushless motors would not be max voltage rated (or at least I would imagine, being a product of insulation on the wires), you need to look up the spec of one you have, or perhaps fit another known to be rated at 22v.

OR fit a slightly higher power and higher Kv motor, running same voltage. There are no rules to upgrading, you fit the bits and hope, ..unless you find someone who has upgraded the same or a similar boat and follow this.
