I have almost completed the timber hull for my TID tug.
I have completed the ply skin but now have the rubbing rails to add, they are 6mm square. Given the tight curves approaching the bow, what would be the best wood for bending with steam to match the shape?

      Thanks.

          Hi Malcolm,

I would use 2 lamination of 3mm x 6mm obechi strip, you only need to dampen it usually, let it dry to the curve then glue it on in 2 stages 😎

          Regards Ray
