I have for sale my well built 1:24 scale 'civilianised' TID tug. It is built on a Kingston Mouldings grp hull and is fitted with a smoke effect unit which runs off tap water (instructions included). It will come complete apart from the 12v lead acid battery (which is the only ballast it needs) and the radio receiver. Requires one or two detail finishes to be done but all the bits and pieces are included plus highly detailed 1:24 drawings from Kingston Mouldings and Marine Modelling. I would point out that Robin Whitmarsh of Kingston Mouldings has retired and is no longer producing his superb hulls so this may be the last chance to acquire one of these tugs. More photos on request. Can not be shipped, collection only from my home address just west of King's Lynn.

        £295 ovno.

Price now reduced to £150 but, definitely, no offers.

            Hello Derek

Its a lovely model and those Kingston Mouldings hulls are bullet proof, if I lived any closer I would be biting your hand off at £150.

            Good luck

            Paul

              Hi Paul,

Many thanks for your very kind comment. I am only selling due to lack of space and too many models otherwise I would be more than happy to keep it.

I will take this opportunity to add that the colour of the superstructure is much darker than in the photo.

              Derek.

I have now decided that I will keep the TID. I have realised that at £150 I would be virtually giving it away.

I had an offer which, unfortunately for the prospective purchaser, I could not accept but it prompted me to add up what the boat had cost me in parts alone and a conservative estimate was well over £200, so I decided that I had to keep it. I was 85 last month so someone might be fortunate, eventually, to get it in my willwink. My model boating will carry on as long as possible.

Too good to sell. Go and enjoy your hard work. 85 with loads more to build yet and why not.

Sorry to say, it is now sold.
