Many well earned congratulations to Neil for scratch building these THREE beautiful classic Lifeboats!

They must have taken some building?

He even made the original moulds too!

              Thanks guys.really appreciate the comments.

Must confess though, paul….the "moulded" wooden cabins are in fact grp cabins that have been layered with printed wood panelling dolls house paper that was put through a house hold shredder to make 6mm wide planks and then laid onto the grp cabin and given many coats of varnish……..I cheated, really, lol…….but the effects were very pleasing.

              thanks again.

              neil.

The wood effect is really very good and hopefully your excellent models helped raise funds.

sadly mine didn't contribute more than a fiver……was going to rent them out to budding coxs'n's for a quid a go at the lake, but it chucked it down so much that there were no takers at all, lol.

in all though, the organisers raised nearly 1500 quid, which despite the lousy weather was really good.

after 6 attempts and a total of 1250 minutes downloading time, I was able to finally get my 6 minute video of the Mary Stanford finally uploadted to Youtube……….the other two 1.5 minute videos seamed to be a breeze after that, lol.

what is wrong with youtube or does it always take that long to upload videos??

hope you like them above the wind noise ( the wind noise suppress was set on the camera by the way!)
