While building a Type 22 to follow the carrier around, I though I would eze-cote and glass cloth the interior, the bottom balsa being thinnish.
I had used ordinary pva, after initially sticking the shell together with supergle.
I poured a drop of eze-cote in the hull, so I could spread it around, working into the small cracks as you do and washed the brush up.
To my horror all the PVA had turned white and when I squezed the hull gently all the bits were moving NOOOOOOOOO I shouted and rushed to dry the hull out over (near) the wall heater.
Well, the eze cote is water based…I just didnt think !!! next time I will be a bit more sparing with it as a first coat.
Happily it dried out ok, and the glass mat went down no probs…. a close shave !!!
