Submarine convoy attack and Warship depth charge explosions (Portsmouth Historic Dockyard)

I was invited along to film by the Surface Warship Association. The public really enjoyed their display put on by them and the Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team. You can't beat scale warship, submarines, smoke and explosions. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing this Dominic, I have seen the display at Portsmouth on a few occasions and it always attracts a lot of interest. The Nelsonic version with the old wooden walls is also very good.

I think your film shows just how much effort is needed to create a safe and entertaining show when using pyrotechnics. The Portsmouth Team do a very professional job.

Very well done and very brave of the modellers to submit their models to such punishing treatment. I especially liked the Landing Craft and Sherman Tank combo.
