Yesterday my last 2 BA nut fell on the floor and was never seen again!

Not having any hexagon bar and desperate for that vital nut….What did I do?

I was looking at my box of assorted nuts and bolts through a red mist….then it dawned on me!

Ureaka!……..Use a similar sized bolt……cut the head off and simply drill and tap it!………Saved again!

        Well worth remembering?……..Bob

Great tip, Bob. …that is assuming that you have that sized tap.

I’ve been known to make my own by cutting flutes into a bolt thread with a hacksaw and cleaning up with a needle file. Not the best tool ever made by man, but it’s got me out of a tight spot a few times when I couldn’t get hold of the real thing.

          Mark.
